Sometimes I Dream brings together multiple memories of the Australian landscape—not one particular place, but fragments gathered over time from bushwalks, changing seasons and moments of quiet observation.
Gum trees, grass trees, native flowers and winding walking trails appear as impressions rather than literal forms. Deep burgundy passages evoke dense bushland and shadow, while blue-greens, acidic yellows, dusty pinks and flashes of orange recall new growth, wildflowers and sunlight moving through the landscape.
Loose, retraced lines travel across the three panels like walking tracks, roots and waterways. Shapes emerge, disappear and overlap, reflecting the way remembered places are continually reconstructed through colour, movement and feeling.
Each panel holds its own experience of the landscape, but together they create a larger emotional terrain—layered, shifting and dreamlike.
The three individually framed panels are intended to be displayed together as one complete triptych.
