A collection of resolved & unresolved textile and fibre works. Held as part of an ongoing material archive shaped by touch, repetition, and time.

TEXTILE ARCHIVE

This Textile Archive brings together resolved (and some unresolved) textile and fibre works held within the broader practice. Working with fibre introduces a slower, more tactile rhythm — one shaped by repetition and the physical act of construction.

These works are approached as material thinking. Structure emerges through touch, accumulation, and constraint rather than image. While each piece is resolved in its present form, the archive remains open, acknowledging the potential for future reactivation, recombination, or return.

My artistic process often moves between painting and textile arts. I find painting offers energy and often spawns the creation of new ideas, whereas textile arts for me is a time to slow down and reflect. I’ve observed over the years that these two mediums often happen in rhythms: quick burst of energy and flow through painting followed by a slowing down of repetition and reflection, followed again by painting and so the process begins again. The two work as a perfect companion for me.
